Phnemonia, Seriously?

One would think, that before one finds out they have phnemonia that they would atleast have a cough. Or something. But nope, Ive bee really tired the last few days thats about it.

But yesterday morning i woke up feeling like i had a snake around my chest and like it was being pushed on from the top of my shoulders, my back and my ribs. I was having trouble breathing, and I was getting progressively more dizzy.

So by lunchtime i was really worried, everything was getting worse by the moment. So I called the clinic, and got told to call 911. I called donnie, and had him drive me ( after coming home, waking up the napping children, and getting me ) to the ER.

One of the first things they did was put me on Oxygen, and that made a huge difference. Of course, like usually I am a hard stick and we had iv issues. I dont know why they didnt do a chest xray, but they didnt. they did some bloodwork ( which they had a hell of a time getting ) and a head ct, and gave me some ativan, despite me assuring them that i was NOT having an anxiety attack.

ANyway, the bloodwork showed a possibility of a clot, so now we needed an IV and a chest ct. It took the dr herself 4 tries to get an iv in but we finally got it, and the chest ct showed us phnemonia, and aparently pleurisy. So i feel like crap, and am going back to bed.

Supposedly im gonna feel great by tomorrow, well see i guess. Either way bear with me if links are a little late and what not.

Enchanted Winter Night

So last year at this time, we moved from Maryland where I had lived for all 25 years of my life other than college and a year in Virginia, to Arizona. So this year has been quite a climate shock to me, and I find myself really missing the crisp cool winter weather. Not to mention snowflakes and the way the world looks after a fresh snow. So I made this kit, inspired by my version of a snowy night sky. It is more than likely the only snowflakes I will see this year.

This kit was really fun to make, and there are lots of snowflakes, and sparklies to make some really neat layouts. I hope you have as much fun creating with it, as I did creating it. I'd also like to give a big thanks to ObsidianDawn.com, A lot of the snowflakes and textures in this kit were made with some great brushes from Stephanie's site. They are all free and you should definetely go check them out!

WoooooHooooooo!

Wow.... the party is officially over! and was a wonderful success. Not only Bri, but all her school friends seemed to have a great time, and my nice girl was back, which meant mommy even had a good time. All the other parents were also WONDERFUL about pitching in and helping, and the whole thing went off without a single hitch, other than Lucas getting scared on the Merry Go Round. I took a lot of great pictures, and hope to get them uploaded sometime within the next few days... but first I need to finish the kit I've been working on.

Of course as soon as we got home, Donnie informed me he got invited to go to a Madden Tournament at a coworkers house, and I was of course oh so thrilled that he was leaving to go do that after the busy week weve had. Ive got a lot of things to get done around here, and this kit i want to finish, and presents to get opened and put away, and just ugh! So when the kids woke up from their nap, i texted him, and asked him how much longer hed be, and he told me a while, but that he would come get the kids!

I am home ALONE!!! no kids! sure its not the time with Donnie that I was hoping for today, but he promised me that for tomorrow, which means right now, its just me! Its been MONTHS since ive been home without anyone else here. And its pretty nice if you ask me. In an hour ive managed to go try and pick up Don's uniforms ( stupid people closing early on saturdays! ) unload and load the dishwasher, wash a load of laundry, fold a load of laundry, clean our room where the puppy chewed stuffing out of something ( god only knows what ) put the curtains back up that she pulled down while in her kennel ( do you get the impression yet she manages to get destructive a bit while left in her kennel? ) open and put away all the presents, take out the trash left over from putting away said presents, take some pictures for some new textures for making kits , oh and make this post!

So I figure I should have atleast another hour left on my own, and then in about an hour after that we have to head out the door to watch Donnie play football. I am hoping with this time I might manage to get this kit finished, or at the very least make some more headway on it. Papers are done, I just need to finish the elements. All I will tell you about this kit for now is that it is going to be great for both boys and girls and its a little bit fun and a little bit classy and a little bit grungy all thrown together!

Dirt Covered Angel..... the brother kit

Well I am at it again, up late finishing up a kit. This is the boy version of Brianna's Bouquet. It took me a bit to figure out what the boy version of flowers and paisley was, but i finally settled on circles and stars and swirls. I also made the brown and green to compliment the pink and brown, so that if you are doing boy and girl pages, they will look great together. I really hope you like it.

I am going to do the daily download sampler with it just like Brianna's Bouquet, I am just to tired to organize it tonight. Tomorrow is Bri's birthday so I am not totally sure when I will get it up there tomorrow, but I will definitely have your first Dirt Covered Angel download up for you at some point tomorrow.

I've also been trying to decide if this and the pink kit should have just the paper pack/element packs available when they go live in the Browniescraps.com store, aside from only offering the complete kit. Ok, so I couldn't sleep with this kit almost done. It was just stuck in my head and I needed to finish it. And if I am this excited and sleepless over it, I figure I might as well go ahead and share it with you. Although I do hope it does not leave you sleepless! I am calling it " Brianna's Bouquet "

A Foiled Plan - new Freebie

I am not totally in love with this kit, but we were restricted to a specific color palate, and they just werent my colors, although i do love the teal. I dont hate the kit, its just not my favorite.

Another Freebie, and some New Kit Layouts

Can you tell I am a little addicted to this new kit? Well if you can't... I am! I am just in love with the patterns and the colors and how it all fits together. That and I've had all these vacation photos to scrap, and now i've got the perfect kit to scrap them with, and no time like the present right? This first one, we went to Busch Gardens and Lucas got sick while we were there. 104 degree fever and all. It turns out after living in AZ for half a year, going back to all the allergens in Maryland was to much for his system.

We did manage to get a few smiles out of him that day though, and this was one of them. He was so happy I let him have my soda bottle.

The second one, we took a few days prior to that, while we were at Donnie's moms visiting, and we went minature golfing. The kids both had a blast, but did not want to let mommy get a picture of them together. Golfing was also after a morning on the beach, so I think they were both just worn out by then as well. Ive also made you another quick page from that layout, I just gave it a more generic title for you than the one I did for myself. Enjoy! Little Preview of Tomorrows New Kit!

Ok, so ive been busy busy busy all day. I set out to polish the kit that I thought was finished, that I decided wasn't. This kit is on the plan to be my next released kit, so of course I wanted it to be perfect for you guys! My polishing it doubled it in size! it is now 33 papers, and 45 elements! I really hope you love it as much as I do. I started it after looking at my beach photos, because I wanted something soft and sweet to go with them. Most Beachy stuff i see is bright and summer. And of course like all my kits, even though it is a themed kit, I want it to be versatile.

So anyway Its got a really cool beaded frame, some great patterns ( the patterns sorta went off on a new direction on their own, but i loved what happened, so I let them ). I really think you will like all the things I have put in this kit for you. Rescue Me - First For Sale Kit! ( and a great cause too! )

So I did it. I finished the Rescue kit that made me want to start this digiscrap designing in the first place. ( and i'm really glad I did cause i sure am having a lot of fun with it! ) I hope you like the kit as much as I do. Cause personally, I love this kit. I love the theme, and I love the rich colors.

Ive put " Rescue Me " up for sale on Ebay. ( thanks for the idea Carmen! ). Since Celebrate Baby isnt in the Brownie Scraps store anymore, I've put it up there also. So if you missed that one, you can get it there!

I will be donating $1 for every Rescue Me kit sold to Cold Wet Noses. I might end up donating more than that, but right now im trying to atleast break even on the commercial use stuff ive bought trying to get started on designing ( i just cant seem to make pretty bows without CU stuff yet ) So it will just depend on how many kits sell.

 So I've been working on a rescue kit, to eventually be sold to benefit our and possibly other animal rescue groups.
This is how far I have gotten on it, the papers.  My goal for this kit is to have it be generic enough to be used for any LO's that people want, and not have it be all animal related, while still keeping it somewhat animal/pet related, since it is to benefit a pet rescue.

In other pet news, Marigold got adopted today! She went home with a wonderful older lady that wanted a companion. Spunky ( yet calm well mannered Marigold and Spunky Granny I think are a perfect perfect pair and I couldn't be happier for the two of them.

On to my own darling pets. The whole family trooped out to the dog park tonight. Bella of course played and wrestled and had a good old time. Bennie on the other hand got to practice his stay amongst distractions the majority of the time. Apparently Bennie really doesn't like un-neutered male dogs and is quite willing to undertake a pissing contest with them. I mean who could blame him. Its like the other dog was up in his face saying " im more dog than you " and well, Bennie has an ego. He wont usually start it, but if he perceives they are even if they aren't, hell finish it. And hold a grudge.  So we practiced stay. And he did quite well.  Of course, this wouldn't have been necessary if people did the smart thing  and neutered their dogs.  I mean come on people! There are puppies dying every  freaking day. Over 100 some weeks at PACC. Do we really need more puppies from your mutt? Yes hes a cute mutt, but he still doesnt need to be  making puppies.  So cut those things off and do us all a favor.  He'll be cuter when he isnt trying to jump your fence like a frat house player looking for his next score. Or provoking fights with my dog.

OK OK, i know i haven't been writing. But ive been a tad busy. Over at SigShowcase we are a bit behind on the siggy making, so ive been trying to help catch up over there. My purple kit should go into the store over at brownie scraps this weekend, so keep checking!!

Every Boy should have a dog

So My little boy finally let me take some decent pictures of him. The last few months he really had gotten horrible about it. He was just so busy that standing still so mommy could take his picture just wasnt happening. Anyway, I got a few good shots this morning, and this one was my favorite.

Will this be the last?

I know, I know. That really isnt a healthy question to ask myself. But i Keep thinking it. I can't help it and believe me I have tried. I don't want to think it. I don't want to imagine it. It Can't be. Because he and I aren't finished yet. But what if we are?

He tells me he will be safe. That " hell just be doing comm stuff ". But what about what he sees, what about what he hears. What if he does come home to me, and he isnt him. Or worse, he doesn't come home.

Will this be the last time he celebrates Bri's birthday. Will he ever celebrate another birthday for Lucas. Our last ( and only second, even though we've been together so so long ) anniversary. God, we deserve more than two anniversaries. We've fought so long and hard to get here. May will be 2 and a half years since we got married, and by then we will have spent a year of that two and a half apart. How is that right? How is that ok? Doesn't anyone realize that he is mine and they can't borrow him? He is supposed to be here, being a dad and a husband. Not there. Anywhere but there. Here with me is where he is needed. I need him.

Will this be the last time he gets me sick? I'd stay sick for the rest of my life if it meant he got to stay here with me. And I am sick. Sick and tired. Sick with worry. Sick with this stupid bug he gave me after getting his stupid flu mist that has me up , awake and crying and unable to breath when I should be cuddled in bed next to him.

I can't bring myself to look forward to anything. Cause anything that happens brings us one day closer to when he will go. We figured out what Lucas is going to be for Halloween ( rocket from little einstiens ) and he is so excited, but I can only pretend to be excited that my baby is excited. And Bri is so excited about her snow white costume, and her upcoming party, and I can only pretend to be excited.

There were Christmas decorations in the store, and I don't want to see them. Cause when Christmas comes, its really over. It will be almost January. And January needs to not come. We need to skip from December to May. Cause if we dont he is going to miss Valentines day, and the anniversary of when we met, and his birthday, and Lucas' birthday. And Dammit that just is not supposed to happen. So the Christmas decorations need to just get put the frick away.

Flu shots and Pizza Parties

My husband had to go get the flu mist for work. He had no say in this. Obviously neither did I. And now, who is getting sick? You got it, me. My throat is sore, I'm starting to feel feverish, and stuffy. How is it that it always works out this way. If the kids are sick, I catch it and he stays fine. Of course, if he does get sick, the clinic here on base will get him in imediately. God forbid he be sick. Me? if i call not feeling well, or for anything i'll get told i can go to urgent care, or i will get a triage call back within 72 hours. Yeah. Right. And that is our oh so wonderful Tricare at work.

Of course, even with not feeling well, that doesn't exempt me from errands. Bri's birthday is in a few weeks and she wants a pizza party " like Mia ". So we went to Peter Piper Pizza today, and booked her party. Needlessly to say I have an excited little girl begging me every 30 seconds to help her fill out her invitations. Who cares that mommy doesn't feel good.

Donnie will be home shortly, and we are off to go get Halloween Costumes for the kids. So hopefully will have some good pictures later. Or a nap. A nap would be good to.

I named Bethany's Kit!

So after I finished posting yesterday, I headed over to Bethany of Scrapin Daisy's Blog ( have you yet? you should !~ ) and saw she had a link up for her new kit, AND that I had won the contest for naming that kit! I got this wonderful huge kit for FREE for winning. And let me tell you, as someone that just scrapped her first layout with it, this kit is jam packed with all kinds of stuff! A albums worth of stuff! stars and stripes and circles and colors that are great for boys or girls! This kit can definetely be a staple in any digiscrappers diet. So go check it out here. I decided to scrap some older pictures of Lucas with it, from when we found a stray cat this summer. What do you think?

This is Tex. Tex is a Sharpei mix and he decided it was naptime. I was really pleased how this one came out, cause i actually zoomed through the bars of his crate to get this one.
